Baseball Recap: Halifax County Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Halifax County lost against Liberty Christian back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Halifax County lost 7-1 to Liberty Christian. The match marked the Comets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Halifax County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garison Colwell, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Bailee Henderson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Halifax County's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2. As for Liberty Christian, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Halifax County will host Franklin County at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty Christian, they will head out to challenge Amherst County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
