Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington fell victim to Waynesburg Central and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 10-0. The Prexies haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Washington got a good showing from Zander Henderson, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Henderson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Waynesburg Central, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

While Washington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
