Football Game Preview: Notre Dame Prep Saints vs. Chaparral Firebirds + How To Watch

The Notre Dame Prep Saints will challenge the Chaparral Firebirds at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Notre Dame Prep is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Horizon, who was ranked 16th at the time (Notre Dame Prep was ranked 23rd). In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Saints made off with a 42-41 win over the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Chaparral made easy work of Deer Valley on Friday and carried off a 45-21 victory. Considering the Firebirds have won three matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win got Chaparral back to even at 3-3. As for Notre Dame Prep, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Notre Dame Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Chaparral when the teams last played back in September of 2017, but they still walked away with a 28-23 win.
