Basketball Game Preview: McKinney North Bulldogs vs. Greenville Lions

The McKinney North Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Greenville Lions at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, McKinney North came up short against Melissa and fell 56-45. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Cardinals are ranked 165th).

Meanwhile, Greenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 69-47 to Lovejoy.

McKinney North dropped their record down to 8-11 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Greenville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.

McKinney North was able to grind out a solid win over Greenville in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 61-53. Does McKinney North have another victory up their sleeve, or will Greenville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
