Baseball Game Preview: Hillcrest Rams vs. Easley Green Wave

The Hillcrest Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Easley Green Wave at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Hillcrest nor Easley posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Hillcrest managed to slip by J.L. Mann the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rams might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-0 to the Patriots, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Easley unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mauldin. The match marked the first time this year in which the Green Wave were not able to get on the board.

Easley's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Hillcrest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Hillcrest might still be hurting after the 12-1 defeat they got from Easley in their previous meeting back in April of 2016. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
