Basketball Game Preview: Keokuk Chiefs vs. Fairfield Trojans

The Keokuk Chiefs will take on the Fairfield Trojans in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairfield took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Keokuk, who comes in off a win.

Keokuk is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past West Liberty 72-34 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Chiefs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Fairfield came up short against Washington on Friday and fell 55-47. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly eight points.

Keokuk's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Fairfield, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Keokuk's way against Fairfield in their previous matchup back in January, as Keokuk made off with a 60-35 win. Will Keokuk repeat their success, or does Fairfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
