Baseball Recap: Ferris Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

While Ferris's win against Mead wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Saxons skirted past the Panthers 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-4 on Friday.

The victory (which was Ferris' fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-10. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs across that stretch. As for Mead, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Ferris and Mead could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Saxons (ranked 210th) will meet Mt. Spokane (ranked 15th) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mead will square off against Gonzaga Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (246 vs. 13).
