Volleyball Recap: Palmer Comes Up Short

Palmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Soldotna Stars. If the Moose were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Stars when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sophie Reid paced Palmer's offense, picking up two kills. Reid got some help from Samantha Thomas and her three assists.

Palmer now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Soldotna, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Palmer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Colony on the 23rd. As for Soldotna, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Nikiski on the 26th.
