Baseball Recap: Gridley Bulldogs vs. Las Plumas Thunderbirds
Gridley barely beat Las Plumas the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Thunderbirds on Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Garrett Francis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits.

On the hitting side, Gus Stogsdill was excellent, going 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Punzo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Coming up, Gridley will take on Folsom in a tournament on Monday. As for Las Plumas, they are taking a road trip to face off against Orland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Thunderbirds surely won't give up without a fight.
