Softball Recap: Wagner Victorious

Wagner lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Winner, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Red Raiders blew past the Warriors 10-4 on Thursday. The Red Raiders not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 11, 2024.

Braxton Nedved made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ravyn Medricky, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Libby Kotab was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Wagner's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Winner beat the Red Raiders by a score of 7-6 later that day.
