Basketball Recap: White River Valley Comes Up Short

White River Valley lost against Wood Memorial back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The White River Valley Wolverines lost to the Wood Memorial Trojans at home by a 54-35 margin. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

White River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wood Memorial, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

White River Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Lighthouse Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lighthouse Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully White River Valley likes a good challenge. As for Wood Memorial, they are taking a road trip to take on Mt. Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
