Softball Recap: Ocean View Takes a Loss

Ocean View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 15-7 to the Garden Grove Argonauts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Seahawks of the 6-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Mackenna King made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Ocean View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Garden Grove, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Coming up, Ocean View will host Kennedy at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Seahawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Garden Grove, they will welcome Firebaugh at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Falcons will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
