Volleyball Recap: North Gaston Comes Up Short

North Gaston lost against Cherryville back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Ironmen, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-21, 25-19.

Cherryville was led to victory by Kate Bookout and Mary Ellis Upchurch. Bookout had nine digs, while Upchurch had three aces.

North Gaston's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cherryville, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, North Gaston and Cherryville will both be playing West Lincoln the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Ironmen will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
