Hoover won the last time they faced Mount Miguel and things went their way on Friday too. Hoover skirted past Mount Miguel 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

When it comes to explaining why Mount Miguel lost, don't look at Jamall Soulivong. Despite the final result, he had 23 digs and six aces. Those six aces gave Soulivong a new career-high. Oscar Arce Amezquita also deserves some recognition as he served his first aces of the season.

The victory got Hoover back to even at 5-5. As for Mount Miguel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Hoover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against San Pasqual on the 21st. As for Mount Miguel, they will head out to face off against El Capitan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
