Basketball Recap: Mercer Island Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Mercer Island took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Snohomish Panthers, sneaking past 67-64. The Islanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Mercer Island had a senior duo take command as Milo Berkley posted 20 points and Colin Monahan earned 17 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Yuen, who put up ten points.

Looking ahead, Mercer Island will welcome Hazen at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Snohomish, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ferndale at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
