Basketball Recap: Sargent County Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Sargent County Bulldogs came up short against the Larimore Polar Bears and fell 52-41. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Larimore found their leader in sophomore Baron Burns, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine steals. That's the most points Burns has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Mason Myers, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards.

Sargent County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Larimore, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-2.

Sargent County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lisbon at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Larimore, they will be taking part in a tournament against Warwick at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
