Volleyball Recap: Imater Charter Starts Season with Loss on the Road

IMater Charter kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Varela Vipers. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Vipers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-9, 25-15.

Varela was led to victory by Gabriel Ramos and Sebastian Hidalgo. Ramos had seven aces and five digs, while Hidalgo had 17 digs and four aces. The dominant performance gave Ramos a new career-high in aces.

IMater Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Academy for Innovative Education on the 7th. As for Varela, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Southridge on the 4th.
