Recap: Fairview Tigers vs. Sharon Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to the Fairview Tigers, who are still winless after their fifth game. They lost to Sharon at home by a decisive 53-36 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Fairview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while Sharon is ranked 29th).
When it comes to explaining why Fairview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Archie Murphey. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The game was Murphey's third in a row with at least ten points.
Fairview bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Sharon, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Fairview will head out on the road to face off against Seneca at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seneca is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Sharon will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Harding at 7:15 p.m. on December 27th.
