Football Recap: Bassett Bengals vs. Magna Vista Warriors
Bassett lost against Magna Vista back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bengals lost 42-17 to the Warriors. Perhaps the best among those players was David Cook, who rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 129 yards and one TD. Bassett's leading receiver Aaron Osgood was Cook's top target yet again, picking up 105 receiving yards and one score.
The critical scores for Magna Vista came from JC Millner, Simeon Moore, Ga'Marley Shelton, Asantae Scott, and Ethan Dukes. Shelton also deserves some recognition as he hauled in his first receiving touchdown of the season.
This is the second loss in a row for Bassett and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Magna Vista, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
