Basketball Recap: Scarborough Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

On Tuesday, the Scarborough Red Storm earned a 63-52 victory over the Bangor Rams. Given the Red Storm's advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Rams are ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win got Scarborough back to even at 6-6. As for Bangor, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scarborough has already played their next contest (against Massabesic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bangor has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Windham.
