After a string of four wins, Lexington's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against the Athens Golden Eagles, falling 8-2. The Golden Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2016.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Athens, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-12.

Lexington has already played their next contest (against West Morgan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Athens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-2 victory against Colbert Heights on the 19th.
