Softball Recap: Oak Knoll Royals vs. New Providence Pioneers

After flying high against Union Catholic on Saturday, Oak Knoll came back down to earth. The Royals took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Providence Pioneers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on April 10th.

Kaitlin Wincko spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Abby Han made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Amelia Flood, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
