Norfolk has gone a perfect 6-0 against Omaha South recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Packers at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Norfolk's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Papillion-LaVista South on Friday. They took a blow against the Titans, falling 49-0. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Omaha South played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Elkhorn South and fell 63-6. While losing is never fun, the Packers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Storm are ranked seventh).

Omaha South's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Norfolk, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Norfolk against Omaha South when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 55-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
