Baseball Game Preview: Taylor Ducks vs. Burnet Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Taylor will face off against Burnet. The Ducks will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Taylor has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Taylor and Burnet, and Burnet kept the tradition alive. The Ducks lost 11-4 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Ducks have suffered against the Bulldogs since April 20, 2015.

Taylor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Stromberg, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Mason Sunvison was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Burnet and bumps their season record up to 10-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Taylor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14-1 record this season.
