Ian Pollard turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than one earned runs surrendered on Wednesday. He produced his best game of the campaign: he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Putnam is 4-2 when he allows at most one hit, but 9-11 otherwise.

Pollard's strong effort led Putnam over Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
