Volleyball Recap: Worthington Kilbourne Wolves vs. Centerville Elks

After flying high against Big Walnut last Thursday, Worthington Kilbourne came back down to earth. The Wolves fell 3-1 to the Centerville Elks on Saturday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Elks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Jake Haslett paced Worthington Kilbourne's offense, picking up 12 kills. Haslett got some help from Alex Ishida and his 25 assists. Mehmet Can controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Centerville was led to victory by Trey Winters and Adam Wasik. Winters had 16 digs and three assists, while Wasik had 11 digs.

Worthington Kilbourne now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Centerville, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-4.

Worthington Kilbourne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Edgewood on the 5th. As for Centerville, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Upper Arlington on the 5th.
