Basketball Game Preview: Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves vs. Louisa-Muscatine Falcons

Winfield-Mt. Union is 10-0 against Louisa-Muscatine since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves will look to defend their home court against the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Winfield-Mt. Union is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since December 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 victory over Pekin.

Meanwhile, Louisa-Muscatine was able to grind out a solid win over Columbus on Tuesday, taking the game 70-62. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Louisa-Muscatine's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6. As for Winfield-Mt. Union, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Winfield-Mt. Union skirted past Louisa-Muscatine 40-38 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Winfield-Mt. Union repeat their success, or does Louisa-Muscatine have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
