Mt. Vernon and Dublin Scioto squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Mt. Vernon had to settle for second. They came up short against the Dublin Scioto Irish, falling 3-0. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Irish recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

The defeat snapped Mt. Vernon's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-11 record. As for Dublin Scioto, they pushed their record up to 23-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home.
