Softball Game Preview: Hamilton Township Rangers vs. Lincoln Lions

The Hamilton Township Rangers will square off against the Lincoln Lions at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Hamilton Township has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hamilton Township is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Fairfield Union on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (14-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Lincoln sidestepped Olentangy Berlin for a 7-6 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won three in a row.

Hamilton Township has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.
