Preview: Reeds Spring vs. Nevada
The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Nevada will challenge Reeds Spring on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Nevada come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.
Things haven't been easy for Nevada, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 0-28 walloping at Monett's hands. The state rankings had actually given Nevada a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their contest two weeks ago against Cassville, Reeds Spring were happy to find some success last Friday. Reeds Spring took their contest against Aurora 27-17. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (21) and coasted on those for the victory.
Reeds Spring's win lifted them to 6-3 while Nevada's loss dropped them down to 1-8. We'll find out if Reeds Spring can add another positive mark to their record or if Nevada can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Reeds Spring's step.
