Baseball Recap: Wiseburn- Da Vinci Takes a Loss

Wiseburn- Da Vinci fell victim to Pioneer and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.

Nathaniel Buendia was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Pioneer, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.

Looking ahead, Wiseburn- Da Vinci will challenge El Segundo at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. El Segundo's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Wiseburn- Da Vinci's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pioneer, they will square off against Cerritos at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cerritos will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pioneer surely won't give up without a fight.
