Softball Recap: Carson Triumphs

Carson was handed a 14-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons, sneaking past 6-5.

The team relied heavily on Lilly Barker, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Carson's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Carson will take on Foothill at 1:40 p.m. on Thursday. The Senators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 15.2 runs per game this season. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they will challenge Galena at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Grizzlies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.78 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
