Brick Township put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Toms River South Indians an 8-0 shutout. The Green Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Chris Quick, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most hits he has posted over his last nine matchups. James Donoghue was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run.

Brick Township hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in four consecutive games.

Brick Township has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Toms River South, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.
