The Simla Cubs will face off against the Strasburg Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Simla will be looking to keep their 18-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
On Friday, Simla got the win against Monument Academy by a conclusive 3-0.
Meanwhile, Strasburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Eaton.
While Strasburg was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-8, 25-16.
Strasburg might have lost, but man, Peighton Marrero was a machine: she had ten kills, nine digs, and a block. Marrero is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Nuttall, who had six digs and three aces.
Simla's win bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Strasburg, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
