Basketball Recap: Reeds Spring Takes a Loss

If Reeds Spring was feeling good fresh off their 60-29 takedown of Spokane last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Reeds Spring Wolves took a hard 60-41 fall against the Monett Cubs on Tuesday. The Wolves have struggled against the Cubs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Reeds Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Monett, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7.

Reeds Spring and Monett could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Reeds Spring (ranked 313th) will meet Strafford (ranked 42nd) at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th. Meanwhile, Monett will challenge Branson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 202 places (331 vs. 129).
