Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Everett). They put the hurt on the Ferndale Golden Eagles with a sharp 12-1 win on Friday. The Seagulls haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The win got Everett back to even at 4-4. As for Ferndale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Everett will head out on the road to square off against Marysville Getchell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Everett's pitchers better be ready for this one: Marysville Getchell has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Ferndale, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sedro-Woolley at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Cubs will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
