Basketball Recap: Logan/Palco Comes Up Short

Logan/Palco lost against Wheatland-Grinnell back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Logan/Palco took a blow against the Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks, falling 51-21. Logan/Palco has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Logan/Palco still got an impressive performance from Lylah Voss, who posted nine points.

Wheatland-Grinnell was led to victory by Aliviah Ball and Natalie Bixenman. Ball dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Bixenman had 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Beckman, who put up six points along with five assists and four steals.

Logan/Palco now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Logan/Palco didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-22 victory against Pawnee Heights on the 14th. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-45 loss against Ellis on the 14th.
