If Walnut wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Covina, they should've done a better job of containing Gatsbee Gumban. The Colts sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 24-21 win over the Mustangs on Thursday with plenty of help from Gumban, who rushed for 142 yards and a pair of scores. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Covina is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise.
