Recap: De La Salle Spartans vs. Clovis North Broncos
The De La Salle Spartans had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Clovis North at home to the tune of 41-0. De La Salle is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 11 straight.
Derrick Blanche was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Jaden Jefferson, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.
De La Salle's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.4 points per game. As for Clovis North, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-1.
De La Salle will face off against Mission Viejo at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Mission Viejo is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Clovis North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
