Basketball Recap: Eastern Musketeers vs. Austin Eagles        
        
		
             Eastern lost against Austin back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The Eastern Musketeers took  a  56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Austin Eagles. The Musketeers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Several Musketeers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Addison Smith, who  posted ten points in addition to six  assists and three  steals.  Bailey Trainor was another key player,  scoring eight points plus two  steals.
 Even though they lost, Eastern  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 18  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
  Brynn Owens had an outrageously good game for Austin as she  went 8 for 16 en route to 33 points plus eight  rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Owens has scored at least a third of Austin's points.
 Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Austin, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern will take on Salem at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Eastern is facing Salem at the right time seeing as Salem is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Austin, they will face off against New Washington at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Austin's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  every time they've taken the court this season.
