Basketball Recap: Morris Jeff Takes a Loss

Morris Jeff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by Wright 84-37. While losing is never fun, the Pelicans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Wright are ranked 28th).

Morris Jeff's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Wright, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 20-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morris Jeff will welcome Booker T. Washington at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wright, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Livingston Collegiate Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wright is facing Livingston Collegiate Academy at the right time seeing as Livingston Collegiate Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
