After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Franklinton, Nash Central was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Smithfield-Selma Spartans a 24-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
GRACYN KING was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
