Baseball Game Preview: Avon Eagles vs. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions

The Avon Eagles will face off against the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Avon 3.9, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Thursday, Avon beat Berea-Midpark 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Avon's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-2.
