Franklin is a perfect 3-0 against Burbank since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Franklin barely beat Weston Ranch the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 13-3 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Dallas Campoy was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miguel Rojas, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Burbank put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They didn't even let West Campus on the board, marking the Titans' second-straight 12-0 shutout.
Uriel Angulo made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Kevion Duplessis and Kevin Duplessis did most of the damage at the plate: Kevion went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Kevin went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Burbank is 12-1 when Kevion posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Devin Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Burbank always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Burbank pushed their record up to 17-10 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.
Franklin took their victory against Burbank when the teams last played back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
