Red Bank Catholic's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the South Plainfield Tigers with a sharp 11-5 victory. Considering the Caseys have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Red Bank Catholic's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for South Plainfield, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-4 record.

Red Bank Catholic and South Plainfield should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Caseys will face off against Middletown North at 3:45 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (19 vs. 193). Meanwhile, South Plainfield (ranked 34th) will meet South Brunswick (ranked 311th) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
