Baseball Game Preview: Watkins Mill Wolverines vs. Einstein Titans

The Watkins Mill Wolverines will take on the Einstein Titans on Saturday. Watkins Mill's hitters has struggled lately (they haven't scored a run in four consecutive games), something the team is no doubt ready to change.

Watkins Mill fell victim to Magruder and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 28-0 to the Colonels.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Einstein ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They blew past Seneca Valley 10-3.

Einstein is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Watkins Mill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Watkins Mill might still be hurting after the 33-2 defeat they got from Einstein when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
