Softball Recap: Lincolnton Comes Up Short

Lincolnton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the West Caldwell Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 back in March.

Lincolnton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Campbell, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Lincolnton's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for West Caldwell, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Lincolnton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-9 victory against East Burke on the 8th. As for West Caldwell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against West Lincoln on the 8th.
