Basketball Game Preview: Summit Christian Academy Eagles vs. Grandview Bulldogs

The Summit Christian Academy Eagles and the Grandview Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Summit Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67 points per game this season.

Summit Christian Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Smith-Cotton just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 62-45 bruising from the Tigers.

Despite the defeat, Summit Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mike Thomas III dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Michael Ward was another key player, putting up five points along with six boards and five assists.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grandview). They managed a 68-63 victory over KIPP Legacy last Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Grandview's win came from a few key players Summit Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jabari Strother, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deandre Nichols, who put up 14 points.

Summit Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Grandview, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
