Blackman came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Nolensville Knights a 5-0 shutout.

Andy Beveridge tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jacob Adamson was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted over his last nine contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Austen Leban, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Blackman pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Nolensville, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-6 record.

Looking ahead, Blackman will welcome Stewarts Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Nolensville, they will take on Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
