Soccer Recap: Clearfield Takes a Loss

Clearfield started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Bonneville. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Lakers who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Bonneville Lakers got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Clearfield Falcons' three. Clearfield haven't had much luck with Bonneville recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Carson Gailey and Carden Porter scored all three of Clearfield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Clearfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Bonneville, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.

Clearfield has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Viewmont on the 10th. As for Bonneville, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Box Elder on the 10th.
